Repeat Offender (RO)
One would think that one trip to Club Fed was enough but you might be surprised to hear that there are those that return!
Is it the college cafeteria inspired food? Perhaps a RO didn’t like cooking at home and prefers to be have three meals a day prepared for them?
Is it the monochrome uniform? Perhaps a RO didn’t like spending time coordinating colorful outfits and doing their own laundry?
Is it the convivial dorm setting? Perhaps a RO missed the comradery that comes in a communal living environment?
Whatever the reason, people do return to Club Fed, normally because they could not abide by the rules post sabbatical. These Crimson Culprits are not only doing a disservice to themselves, but also to their families and friends.
You can tell an RO because when they arrive at Club Fed they are greeted with high fives by fellow sojourners and quickly adapt to their familiar surroundings.
What would propel someone to return to Club Fed? Can things be that bad at home? More than likely an ex-Fedmate has returned to familiar surroundings and habits and has not used their sojourn to improve their situation (refer to related post “Chuck It List”).
Violators, as they are known to Uncle Sam, have not abided by the terms of their probation. What is so difficult about following a few rules? Why add to your Scarlet resume?
While it is challenging to find employment with the Scarlet F, one should not get discouraged. Many industries are “banning the box” and working toward providing opportunities for those emblazoned with the Crimson Character F.
One needs to understand that life is different after Club Fed. Uncle Sam has taken care of you while on sabbatical and now it is the culprit’s time to avoid reoccurring behavior.
Stay positive. Stay active. Stay focused. AND, by all means, avoid becoming a Repeat Offender!
