Punitive Potato Chip Pepperoni Log (White Collar Club Cookbook Recipe)
Let me preface this recipe by saying that the taste is better than the appearance. The first time you make this recipe, or see it being made, you might start thinking CDR is a better option, but once you try the end product you will understand the appeal.
So, get creative and gather the following to create you own PPCP log:
Ingredients:
1 bag Sour Cream and Onion Chips (or any other chip you have/like, but one with flavor like Doritos)
1 Package of Summer Sausage (sliced thin)
1 Package of Pepperoni (if not pre-sliced, slice thin as well)
1 Package of Cooked Chicken (or Beef)
1 Package of Beans (cooked)
1 Block of Cheese (shredded or cut into small pieces)
Instructions:
- First you need to create the exterior casing by “smashing” your bag of chips. Add a little hot water and flatten the chips (still in the bag). You are working on creating your “crust”. Keep manipulating the bag until you have formed one solid flat piece (inside the bag).
- Next, cut the chip bag right down the middle with your new “chip crust” inside. You should now have a flat tortilla-like surface.
- Now, add your filler…sausage and/or beef, cheese, beans, etc. It’s really whatever you like inside. Pepperoni adds some good flavor. Sprinkle all ingredients evenly over your flat potato chip wrap.
- You are ready to fold! Roll it into a log shape. It’s ready to eat, just slice it! Some people like to warm slightly but it’s not necessary as all of the ingredients are already cooked.
- Feeds about 4, so include your favorite bunkies! It is not recommended to keep overnight so be sure you finish in one seating.
