Felon Fajitas

Need to spice up your life?  How about some picante fajitas to transport you to your favorite Tex-Mex restaurant?  Or perhaps fantasize about cooking up a feast for your favorite Houston Texan!

Now that you have images of JJ Watt in your head let’s talk turkey….or should I say Chicken, Beef, Turkey or Egg Fajita!

Here’s what you will need from Fed Mart (and some leftovers from CDR):

Tortillas

a dash of Olive Oil (optional)

Pepper and Salt (those little packets from CDR will do just fine)

Hot Sauce

Garlic Powder

Onions

Green Peppers

Diced Tomatoes

Chili Powder

Veggies (the dried ones in Fed Mart are good just re-hydrate them before using)*

Lastly, the meat of your choice…hard boiled eggs from CDR breakfast….or Wednesday Chicken from CDR….or Wednesday Hamburger…..or packages of Chicken, Tuna or Turkey from Fed Mart

*Depending upon availability, mushrooms and onions or whatever else you like you can use)

Now that you have your ingredients gathered, take out your handy Tupperware bowl and mix the following:

Meat of choice (if hard boiled eggs, mash up with plastic fork)

Salt and Pepper

Garlic Powder

Chili Powder

Veggies

Make sure you mix these items well…then put this aside.

In a separate Tupperware bowl mix up the following:

Diced tomatoes

Salt and Pepper

Garlic Powder (are you sensing a piquant theme here?)

Onions

Now that you have your two bowls of mixtures, place your tortilla in the microwave and warm.  You can add a dash of olive oil if you have/need it but it’s not necessary.

Place your meat mixture on top of the warmed tortilla then add your tomato mixture on top of that.  Before you fold in half (or roll it up) add a dash of hot sauce…for the true Texans out there you can add several dollops.

You can choose to microwave again if you like your Tortillas really hot or else you are ready to chow down.

This is a great meal to share….divvy up the prep as well as the ingredients.  Even if someone can’t contribute to the cost of the items from Fed Mart they can help you mix, microwave or get the supplies from CDR.

Hasta la vista!
