CONmetics

Prior to Camp a WCC might equate cinnamon with their favorite breakfast treat or weekend danish.  Well, while at Club Fed, you look at spices in an entirely new way.  Cinnamon becomes a favorite shade of eyeshadow, coffee grinds replace eyebrow pencils and Nutella becomes a face mask.

Thinking outside of the quad leads to creative fakeup.  Magazine samples are in high demand.  Those (formerly) pesky perfume and foundation samples squeezed between Editor’s picks are now given heightened attention.  Whether sampled on your own arm or mixed with your bland Fed Mart lotion, a Shalimar scent is not only welcomed but craved.  Glancing through Vogue is no longer an option….you devour every page as there may be an opportunity to “lift” portions to enhance your beauty routine or “look.”

Whether you desire to be a Scarlet Seductress or Scarlet Socialite you can enhance your persona through inventive use of the materials around you.  Try mixing some baby powder, moisturizer and instant coffee to create foundation.  This is assuming you don’t like the shades offered at Fed Mart or you have a desire to go totally organic while at Camp.  Depending upon your skin tone (and the amount of coffee you use) you can also use this mixture as eyebrow filler.

Attending an evening going away party (practically a daily occurrence)??  Why not mix some glitter (garnered from a holiday card) with vaseline for a festive eyeshadow.  Do your eyes already glitter?  Then use the same mixture on your cheeks for a spirited appearance.

In need of a good facial scrub?  Add some of the aforementioned coffee grounds to your soap.  How about a relaxing face mask?  Nutella does wonders for your skin (and spots!).  You must try it to believe it.  Take it from Nutella’s marketing team directly….spread the happy!
