Club Fed Membership Criteria
Good news! Entry into Club Fed is easier than your top tier Tom Fazio designed Golf Club back home.
Application
You don’t even need to complete. Uncle Sam will do all of the work for you. This doesn’t mean that all of the information supplied will be accurate, but it will be filled in by someone else. You will probably spend months correcting the errors, but at least this aspect of membership is done for you.
Membership Fees:
Lifetime membership in the form of a Scarlet F prohibiting you from voting in some states, ever possessing a firearm, travel to/from some countries, etc.
Initiation:
The only recommendation you need is the one from Uncle Sam! No lengthy letters espousing your history of charitable work, etc. no large donations to local charities or numerous cocktail parties spent charming other members for them to write glowing recommendations.
Monthly/Annual Dues:
Lucky for you, Uncle Sam pays for your transportation to/from Club Fed, all lodging, food, clothing, medical care, prescriptions, and basic amenities. Access to the on-site Gym and Library is also included.
Dress Code:
Proper attire is required at all times in the Dining Room (formal pants and collared shirts). Conservative athletic attire is require in the exercise facility (note, for women, no exercise bras should be visible). During the summer months no topless sunbathing is permitted (for women).
Family Members:
You might be surprised to find that members are related to others but, overall, for WCCs this will be an entirely new experience.
Pets:
If your Club supports a Dog Training Program in support of the handicap then you will find dogs on campus. If your Club is located in a rural area you will find the normal critters (squirrels, birds, etc.) scurrying about. That being said, NO pets are allowed inside the Club.
Recommendations:
No letters of referral are necessary. Uncle Sam has already given you his seal of approval.
Reciprocal Memberships:
Yes you can be transferred to other facilities run by Uncle Sam. You can either request this or, should you run afoul of the rules, this will be requested for you.
Club Rules:
You will receive a copy of the rules upon arrival. Adherence is enforced. Should you violate any of the rules you will be put on notice, which could include privileges being removed.
Guests:
There is no fee for guests. Guests can visit the Club as noted in the Club Rules Book, normally limited to 4 days a week and for a certain time period, normally limited to 5 hours. Attire for guests is outlined in the rule book…no cell phones, etc.
